Animal Behavioral Management Technician
Insight Global is seeking research Behavioral Management Technicians for our biomedical research client in Covington, LA.
This individual will join the Veterinary Medicine Division and perform tasks related to implementation and maintenance of behavioral management program for non human primates and other laboratory animals.
Duties include maintenance and distribution of enrichment materials, devices and equipment, collecting observational data for behavioral studies, intervention practices, developing enrichment techniques, positive reinforcement training, and developing social introductions to monitor progress and outcomes.
This is permanent opportunity! - Bachelor's Degree with a background in behavioral sciences, anthropology, Zoology, or psychology etc.
- Experience with non human primates- High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree (preferred)- 2-6 years of laboratory animal care experience - AALAS ALAT or LAT Certification- Experience working in enrichment or behavioral research programs - Ability to pass US Department of Justice Security Risk Assessment for biological agents and toxins Recommended Skills Biology Justice Maintenance Psychology Risk Analysis Research Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
