Medical Assistant - Full Time - AVALA Ortho

Summary Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basicnursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in maintenance of a safeand clean environment under the direction and supervision of the registerednurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
Assists dietary department as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Meets communication needs of patients and treatspatients and their family with respect and dignity.
Communicates appropriately and clearly to teamleader, co-workers and physicians.
Answers the phone while maintaining a polite,consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette.
Demonstrates knowledge of disease entities andmedical terminology.
Communicates ideas for improvement to the unitmanager/charge nurse.
Protects patient confidentiality by making sureprotected health information is secured by not leaving PHI is plain site.
Operates computer software and office equipment.

Regulatory Requirements High school graduate or equivalent Current BLS certification Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year ofrelated work experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
